Alana De La Garza has made a name for herself in TV. Her parents are from Ireland and Mexico. The actress was born in Columbus, Ohio, on the 26th of December, 1976. De La Garza soon moved to Texas and studied in physical therapy at University of Texas. De La Garza didn't stay for long in Texas before moving to Orlando, Florida. In Orlando, she played many roles, ranging in local independent films as well as world-wide commercials. The actress quickly discovered her love to perform despite the tiny roles. She then moved in New York in 2001 and she got her first job in acting as Rosa Santos on All My Children, a daytime soap. During the early part of the 2000s She appeared on small roles on JAG Vegas and Two and a Half Men. The role she landed was in the year 2004 on the short dramatic The Mountain. She played Maria Serrano and De La Garza was lucky enough to star alongside some top TV actors including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. Her most well-known character was Law & Order, where she played A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa. She appeared in 85 episodes. Her next role was on the brief-lived spin-off Law & Order: LA. This particular character brought De La Garza many nominations including Best Supporting Actress - Television by the Imagen Foundation Awards and even numerous ALMA Award noms. She was awarded the Impact Award from the National Hispanic Media Coalition to recognize Outstanding performance on a Dramatic Television Series. De La Garza got a reprise role in CSI Miami a few moments further. She played Marisol Deko, as well as the wife of David Caruso's character Horatio. The most recent television appearance was on the character Dr. Lena Solis on NBC's slightly dark show Do No Harm. The show was canceled after two short episodes. Milano was only seven years old older when her babysitter took Milano to an audition. The audition was attended by four girls from over 1000 hopefuls. Milano was featured on television in commercials as well as off Broadway productions, including an adaptation musical of Jane Eyre.
